This privacy notice tells you how Charlotte Cornell and the Dover & Deal Labour Party will collect and use your personal data.

We are committed to ensuring that the information we collect and use is appropriate for the purpose of sending out campaign newsletters and does not constitute an invasion of your privacy.

Will my personal data be shared with anyone else?

No. Your data will only be used by Charlotte Cornell and/or the Dover & Deal Labour Party and their elected officers or nominated representative.

How will you use the personal data you collect about me?

Charlotte Cornell and the Dover & Deal Labour Party office will process (collect, store and use) the information you provide in a manner compatible with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up to date, and not keep it for longer than is necessary. We are required to retain information in accordance with the law, such as information needed for income tax and audit purposes. How long certain kinds of personal data should be kept may also be governed by specific requirements and agreed practices. Personal data may be held in addition to these periods depending on individual needs.

Under what circumstances will Charlotte Cornell or the Dover & Deal Labour Party contact me?

If you have provided consent to be contacted about local campaigns and news we will contact you when required. You will always have the option of withdrawing consent and an ‘unsubscribe’ button will be at the bottom of each email sent.

Can I find out the personal data that is held about me?

At your request, the Dover & Deal Labour Party office can confirm what information we hold about you and how it is processed. If Charlotte Cornell or the Dover & Deal Labour Party office does hold personal data about you, you can request the following information by contacting the elected Dover Constituency Labour Party Secretary, and providing an acceptable form of ID (passport or driving licence). We are exempt from registering with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) because we are a non-profit organisation and/or individual and we:

  • only process information necessary to establish or maintain membership or support
  • only process information necessary to provide or administer activities for people who are members of the organisation or have (or wish to have) regular contact with it;
  • you only hold information about individuals whose data you need to process for this exempt purpose
  • the personal data you process is restricted to personal information that is necessary for this exempt purpose

Can I opt-out of e-mails at any time?

Of course. There will be an unsubscribe button at the bottom of each newsletter. This will remove all data from our records and you will no longer receive emails.
